Riverside Community Sailing Program

Mission Statement

The primary function of our program is to teach introductory sailing skills, with emphasis on youth, in a controlled, fun and educational environment. To promote safety and knowledge for a lifetime of boating enjoyment and encourage the highest level of sportsmanship and seamanship in all aspects of sailing.

We are a community based, public benefit 501c3 corporation funded by donations and volunteer labor that offers a sailing program on Lake Evans.

We offer Sailing Instruction for kids ages 10 – 17

We can teach 12 Kids per week to sail during the summer – ‘from knots to racing in 5 days.

  • We offer three lesson levels:

          Beginning Sailing

          Intermediate Sailing

          Advanced Sailing

  • RCSP’s fleet of  boats: Sabots for students,  kayaks and rowboats for coaches.
  • Students may return for further instruction, and can become Student Coaches.
  • The Summer Schedule includes weekly family sailing and picnic evenings for Riverside Community Sailing Program volunteers.
  • Adult Lessons available!

  • Boat Manager Helps with Boat launch, retrieval and maintenance.
